Our Denomination:
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA)

The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) devotes its resources to and exercise its corporate powers for religious, educational, and humanitarian purposes. The primary purpose of the Association is to serve the needs of its member congregations, organize new congregations, extend and strengthen Unitarian Universalist institutions, and implement its principles.

The Unitarian Universalist denomination is a bottom-up organization. All of the power is in the hands of the members of the individual congregations. There are over 1,000 North American congregations, and they have a continental association, the Unitarian Universalist Association in Boston, which provides various services. There are also district associations mainly for communication between the congregations. Our district, the Pacific Central District, serves 40 congregations.
