Many years ago I had an experience that
hammered home to me just how wrong I could be
when I relied too securely on assumptions.
This Sunday you will get to hear about that
experience,
but you will also hear a challenge to some of
the assumptions we sometimes make about
ourselves as Unitarian Universalists.

Summer Art Celebration
Meet at the Church 10 am Sunday
from Betty Skwarek, Acting Director of
Religious Education
The Religious Education program will
celebrate Summer Art's last session this
Sunday. Participants will reflect on what
they have accomplished together.
The photograph above is of the mandala created
during the summer. It is now complete and is
hanging in the Seed gallery at the Thoreau
Center in the Presidio.

Our condolences and loving thoughts go to
Thad and Lucy Smith on the death of
Thad's mother, Ruth Griffin Smith, who passed
away Tuesday evening at the age of 87. She
had been in a rest home in El Cerrito, and
Thad and Lucy were closely involved with her
care for many years.
