Starr King Room

Featuring parquet floors, a dramatic high ceiling and unique skylights, this room is especially suited for large meetings and conferences. The space includes three large alcoves with overhead spot lighting, ideal for the setup of display material. One of the alcoves is elevated for use as a stage.

Martin Luther King Room

This room has most of the pleasing architectural features and amenities of the neighboring Thomas Starr King Room and can open into it for much larger events. With unique alcoves for display areas or a stage, it’s an ideal room for receptions, conferences, or large meetings.

Murdock Room

For small scale meetings, discussion groups or classes of up to 25 people, this room is ideal. The room is large enough for lecture settings or for around-the-table conferencing.

• flat-screen monitor, ideal for viewing films and laptop pc presentations

Kincaid Room

For small scale meetings, discussion groups or classes of up to 25 people, this room is ideal. The room is large enough for lecture settings or for around-the-table conferencing.

Scholefield Fireside Room

With a large wood burning fireplace as a focal point, this room offers an intimate, peaceful space for smaller scale weddings, meetings and receptions. The room’s dramatic sky-lighted 40-foot ceiling spills warm light onto velvet curtains, parquet floor with oriental rug, and tasteful display decorations. It’s an inviting space that emphasizes warmth and serenity. This room is conveniently adjacent to the chapel.

Macondray Hall

This utilitarian room features lecture style seating for up to 100 persons and excellent acoustics. It’s a great recital and rehearsal hall for choirs, other musical groups, and drama groups. Piano included. Also suitable for theatre-style film or video projection.

Courtyard

Consider using the beautiful central courtyard to host your event, or possibly add it on to an event being held in another room of our facilities. It's a lovely setting for an outdoor wedding which still has all the amenties that our facilities can offer. It can also be a wonderful way to add a breath of fresh air during conference and meeting breaks! It features a modern sculptured fountain, handsome benches and tables and generous landscaping.

Chapel

For an elegant, serene, and intimate setting the octagonal-shaped Chapel with its 40-foot high ceiling is unique and inviting. The room is tastefully decorated and highlighted by the light from blue and gold stained glass windows. (A closeup of one of these windows is used as the header to this website.) It’s an ideal space for smaller weddings. Because of the room’s intimate acoustics, its also excellent for smaller musical events and lectures. Link this room with the adjacent Fireside room for small scale receptions.

Main Sanctuary / Cathedral

Built in 1889, this elegant space features large, stunning stained glass windows, dramatic chandeliers, oak detail and cushioned seating. A rear balcony, with light cascading from another large stained glass window, holds a rare, three-thousand pipe organ and choir loft. The sanctuary gets rave reviews from musicians and their audiences for its great acoustics. Aside from live concerts, it’s also a sophisticated venue for lectures, graduations and weddings.
