Family Ministry @ UUSF
UUSF's Family Ministry helps foster the religious and spiritual needs of the whole family. Through worship, education, arts, rituals, community involvement, and fellowship, we minister to families with open hands, a loving heart and hands that are ready to serve.
2021-2022 Program Update
UUSF is finalizing plans for reopening our church after closing in March 2020. Sunday, September 12 is our official Reopening date. Our Reopening Task Forces have been meeting throughout the summer to establish safe protocols for worship and our Sunday School classes. We will continue to monitor and update as needed. To learn more about this year's Sunday School offerings, please visit our Family Ministry Classes and Program Page here.
You don't need to be home alone, our church community is here for you!
We welcome all families. We are committed to creating anti-racisit learning spaces, grounded in values of love, compassion, equity and justice. We hope you will join us.
Family Ministry Committee Mission Statement
We seek to create beloved community, transform lives, promote justice, and foster universal values of love, respect, and responsibility for children, youth and families. With programming that engages heart, mind, and body, and working in collaboration with the wider community, we celebrate our children’s unique sense of self, their place in our wider Unitarian Universalist movement today, and for generations to come.
To this end, we will:
· Advocate for Family Ministry and build community in the broader church.
· Implement programs and processes that embody UU principles.
· Provide opportunities to engage in social action and service.
· Foster family ownership and stewardship of our Family Ministry programs.
· Welcome and support all families
