SOCIETY FOR COMMUNITY WORK (SCW) SCHOLARSHIPS
The Society for Community Work (SCW) awards annual competitive scholarships to current high school students planning to attend 2- or 4-year institutions, as well as to continuing undergraduate students who received SCW scholarships last year. Awards typically range from $1500 to $2500 per year, and are distributed prior to the beginning of the new academic year (usually July). Scholarship recipients are expected to complete 12 units or more per quarter or semester.
Please Note: Non-citizens not qualifying under the California DREAM Act are also encouraged to apply.
Submission Deadline: Friday, March 15, 2019
To be considered for one of our scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:
Will be the first generation in your immediate family to graduate from a U.S. college
Will be graduating this spring from a San Francisco public or private high school
Have a GPA of 3.5 or above
Have a demonstrated financial need
Will attend a California public or private college or university
Will maintain mutually agreed upon periodic contact with your Scholarship Committee mentor
Will provide the Letter of Recommendation as required on your application
