Fall Finance & Operations Update: Budget requests due by January 9th; UUSF's garage closed due to damage from an accident, with repairs expected to take 4-5 weeks.
As the leaves fall, industrious budget elves and other committee members are gathering to discuss their creation of a budget request for the upcoming budget year (FY26-27 or 7/1/26-6/30/27.) Budget requests are due not later than January 9th, but it would be helpful to email them to finance@uusf.org before the holiday break. The Committee Budget Template is linked here. UUSF's Garage is Closed.
We all know accidents happen, and then we figure out what is next, often in a piecemeal fashion. As many of you have heard, on Sunday, October 19th, a UUSF worship patron accidentally drove into the garage door upon exiting. The damage to the doors was extensive. No one was injured, for which we are grateful.
We will keep everyone apprised as we learn more relevant facts. What we know so far:
The parts were ordered on 10/20/25, but there is a stated 30-day lead time on receiving the parts. The garage may remain closed for up to four or five weeks.
Insurance is handling this matter.
Please plan alternative places to park for worship and other meetings, or take public transportation or ride shares.
Everyone on staff performed well in the aftermath of this accident. We continue to do the best we can to resolve it in an expeditious and safe way. Thank you for your patience and flexibility.
